My mom would often slice up fresh cucumber and put it up on her face, it helps to nurture and refresh the skin. I suppose you can "mash" cucumber as well, to make it more like a regular mask.

I know you can put honey on your face (the ones you get from the health food shops but I think regular honey works too) and it's meant to work really well.

Would be interested to get some recipes too

I have also heard that berries are good for your face - strawberry, raspberry, cherry, etc. I have not used them myself though, I prefer to buy facial masks at a store.

Lissy ur idea is gd bt berrys and stuff lyk dat r 2 accidic for the skin its lyk a mild paint stripper for the skin the only reason for using sumthing lyk that is if you had extreemly oily skin. the best home made masks for every skin type is cheep and simple get warm water and sum cheep reddy breck ad mix it in2 a thick paste wit hot boild water let it cool down so its still hot but not 2 hot that it hurts or burns then put on skin in thick layer ur kin best 2 get sum1 else to do this for you whille you lye down cuz it can b messy leave for 10 mins. the heat will open ur pores and the oat milk frm the redi breck will be amazing for your skin it is amazin moisturiser. Jus b sure to rinse face with cool water after u got da mask of as it will freshen and cool the face.

    some of these are weird..

    Avocado is good, it moisturizes.
Honey moisturizes, sops up excessive oil and is anti-bacterial!
grated apple + honey is good to tighten the look of your pores

    Quick and easy face mask:
    Lemon egg-white mask recipe
Juice from half a lemon, strained 1 egg white.
Beat together the egg white and lemon juice for three full minutes. Apply directly to your face, avoiding your eyes, and leave on for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes rinse your face with warm water and apply a moisturizer or cream.

I've oily/combination skin, I regularly make a mask/ scrub with olive oil, honey, sugar tea tree oil. I leave the mixture on my face for about 10 minutes, then lightly scrub before washilg off. My skin is then soft and my pores appear smaller. You don't need to use tea tree oil, it's just something i put in to prevent spots. I hope this helps!!!
