Use a brush. Sponges are a one-time use on the go.

Yea like the previous posters, use a brush for sure. When you use a sponge for 1, it holds in the product (because it's a sponge) and you use more of the product to apply than you would a brush. For 2, it soaks up your natural bacteria and your just putting that back into your skin. So lets say you get sick all that gross stuff coming off your skin, your putting it back in when your better. When you get a brush go in circle strokes so it's buffs into the skin for a more flawless look.

I am presently a MAC makeup artist. You definately want to use a brush. MAC brushes are amazing and with the proper care will last you for years. When you use a brush you will get a perfected look. As the previous person commented...you do not want to put the sponge on the foundation then to your face and back on the foundation. This will use too much product and the oils from your face will be put on to the foundation. When you are blending your powder properly you should have a very airbrushed look. Studio Fix powder is an amazing product that will give you great coverage and that perfected look. Treat yourself to a new MAC brush soon!!!
