Where do you get your daily makeup inspiration from?

I keep a huge 3inch binder filled with magazine articles and pictures to help me decide my makeup each day. Usually at the end of the season I'll clean out the ones I dont want anymore and add some more! I also have a seperate binder for hair and fashion ideas, what does everyone else do to get inspiration for their hotness?

woah your organised haha erm i dunno generally magazines but i don't go very bold with everyday make-up for party make up i look at this site, peoples make-up blogs and youtube tutorials by pancea18 she's amazing

I usually look at my pallets and then decide what to do as I go. I love watching the youtube make up gurus and pull some inspiration from them but mostly I just wing it and see what I come up with. I am also not one for natural make up I love playing with colours and lots of them so the only time I do a neutral look is when I am in a hurry or just not in the mood.

omg the binder thing is an AWESOME idea! gonna have to try that like...
ermm it sounds wierd but my boyfriend gives me inspiration because hed give me a cool song title or something and i find it really easy to do a look based on the title.

for example he told me the metallica song "ecstasy of gold" so i did a really shimmery gold metallic look and called it "bextacy of gold" lol

In the morning i dont have a lot of time to go check videos and magazine to choose the look i want to wear so i have a Bella Bellissima Palette that I use all the time and i just go with the order of the colors everyday

Your technique is awesome. I usually get it from music videos, magazines, google, photo shoots, tumblr, sometimes I may be looking outside my window and get inspiration that way by looking at trees, birds and also i will either go by seasons/holidays or i will take ideas from graphic shirts.

I agree with social media as a new tool, as it is the only one that is very current on what's trending now.

However, I disagree with you on the magazines. I am talking fashion editorials, and not gossip mags. At any rate, magazines always trend the next season, which is a great tool for forecasting, especially when a MUA has to prep for a TV show or build a character's look for different occassions that an actor will play in a film. (ex. Gina Carano's make-up looks in Haywire and Kate Beckinsales' in Total Recall). As for a fashion inspiration, it'll keep your book current for at least 3 months.

I don't really have that much liberty on the daily basis to change my make up. usually it is just the office look from mondays to fridays. but on days that I go out with friends or whoever, I usually get some make up inspiration from magazines and from different artists on television. mostly, I get some ideas on some good blogs too.

For my own make-up on a day to day basis I'm with Butttaxi, I grab my personal palettes and see where they take me, lol. For Pro MUA work I use magazines, google images, books, etc. Basically anything I see that pops a bit of inspiration into my head
