    Default what colours suit...

I have brown hair blue eyes and really pale skin and always find it really hard to find eye shadows that don't make me look sick. any ideas?

Your colourings sound exactly like mine

My fave eyeshadow colours are gold, bronze, browns, any sort of earthy tones look great. Also try red/orange based colours - it may sound strange but on the colour wheel red/orange is opposite blue which makes it a complimentary colour, which I guess is probably why bronze colours look great.

I'm still experimenting with other colours - greens, pruples etc - but the colours above are my "safe" colours

I have really pasty skin, blue eyes, and super dark hair as well. I use browns and golds to create a really neutral eye to make them stand out. I like doing a brown smokey eye, with liquid liner on top, and a pale lipstick on my lips.

Also, I reccomend adding some bronzer to brighten your face up.

Yep totally agree! I recently purchased the Too Faced Snow Bunny and it is perfect for palies

Like suggested before earthy shades work really well. And orange/purple is really nice too. Using cool toned pinks gives a nice effect and do not be afraid of trying blue eyeshadow that is really close to your natural eye colour. I was always afraid I'd end up looking like a clown, but then a make up artist actually recommended it, MAC aquadisiac in my case. It looks absolutely gorgeous. Am currently experimenting a bit with green as well lol.
