MAC counterfeits on Ebay??

Ok.. I just bought some MAC eyeshadows on Ebay. Can anyone tell me if they are counterfeit? I didn't even know that was possible, but apparently a LOT of people on Ebay are doing this!

Here is a description:

3, 12 Color Eyeshadow Palettes (Powder)

The thing that is throwing me off is the squares they are in. (Most I've seen have been in circles.) Also, I've heard that anything containing 12 is counterfeit. Is this true?? I don't know about the packaging because I haven't received it yet, but I heard they have recently changed it.






Can anyone help???

Sorry to bear "bad news" but they are counterfeit. MAC doesn't make 12-colour palettes. Maybe you can ask for your money back or report the seller to ebay?

MAC doesn't sell eyeshadows in those kinds of containers. And don't buy any of the brushes that say they come in a set that are all black. MAC only does brush sets around the holidays and with some other collections, but they are the short ended brushes and come in packs of like 4 or 5. There are lots of people who sell "MAC" on eBay. Be careful a lot of it is fake. But there are people who do sell the real stuff. But I think they are the people who are selling like a few things of theirs not a "company" selling it. Good luck!

its fake and most of them get it from tradetang.com go and check if your item looks like something from there

just another little pointer that may help. MAC shadows !!NEVER!! come with those little spongy applicators!! That is the number 1 dead give-a-way if it is MAC or a knockoff.

yeah i heard that before alright.. theyre the chinese fake stuff.. theyre EVERYWHERE at the mo! but to be honest a friend of mine actually bought one of them exact palletes and the pigment was really strong? i couldnt believe it..x x

Yeh theres a brush site called brush111 or something that sells fake low quality mac brushes every chicky babe be warned x

But if they are good quality, keep it doesnt matter if its fake.

Yeah, you know a lot of MAC stuff is fake if it comes with a sponge tip applicator. MAC doesn't make those, and they all really suck either way.
And MAC doesn't make twelve color palettes.

sorry babe, those are fakes. I work for mac and i'll tell you now, if you buy it on ebay its not real. Real mac comes from the mac store and thats it.

Brushes are pretty much always fake, the easiest way to tell in the thickness of the handle, the depth of the indentations in the metal join and the font. Don't bother looking at the pictures, chances are they are of a real brush and not the brush you will be sent. Some of the fake brushes actually work just as well as the real ones. I bought a 150 brush and a 190 brush when I first started on eBay (naively thinking they were real), I still have them and they work great. I don't condone buying fake brushes, I wouldn't have bought them if I had known, and just because the ones I have are okay doesn't mean that all fakes won't fall apart.
