Default Create your own Mixing Medium to get Eyeliners

There are a lot of make-up brands that are selling Mixing Medium and they are super expensive. Now I was wondering what mixing medium was made off and it's mostly Glycerin.

    What you do...
1- Get Glycerin (it costs like 3$) from a drugstore.
2- Mix water and Glycerin together. The ratio for glycerine is 1:3. 1 part glycerine and 3 parts water. You'll find people use different ratios but 1:3 is pretty much standard for making small batches.
3- Get a tiny bit of your new Mixing Medium and take of the exces and they put it on your eyeshadow.
Now you will get a more pigmented color! If you use a liner brush, you can use it as an eyeliner.

(Dont make a lot of mixing medium at the same time because it works for about 3 weeks. So make small amounts at the time.)

Now i'm not claming that it will make the same effect them the other expensive Mixing Medium but it really works well !

Hm, I've never looked into actually making your own.
    I may try this.

Using a tad bit of baby oil will make the color more vibrant too.

This idea worked GREAT! Thanks for the post! I created the mixture, then dunked an eye liner brush into the mixing medium before dabbing into a mineral shadow called Midnight Train. Wow, what an awesome, sparkly liner it turned out to be! The website who sells the shadow (www.mattifycosmetics.com) suggests using water for this technique, but the glycerin mixed with water makes the liner stay on longer. I also tried it with their Fields of Gold color & was amazed at how sparkly it turned out. This is going to make for an excellent New Years Eve look ~ Will come back and post pictures later.
