didn't realise there were fakes around. If it was a gift then yes I'd accept it but, to purchase it knowingly no because I tried original MAC I love it for those who can work with it well, but for a normal female trying to apply pigment eyeshadows in Frost/bright pink. I feel it is an art form I am yet to master. I would be throwing good money after bad.
If you can work with it, then why not, it is a good way of practicing with cheaper alternatives.

The quality of brushes on www.gutesleben365.com is very good and cheap .

    You can try.

I really do not like the fake mac sites! I mean if you look hard enough on the internet you can find genuine MAC at discount prices, ok so it will never be as cheap as the fake mac but for the extra couple of pounds then i think it is defiantly worth it.

    Hello there!
Good question, Im new to makeup-forum. My opinion is if the make up is good quality, then who cares how much it costs. I will spend $30 on a MAC foundation (because it works well for me) and then turn around a buy a $7 foundation brush to apply it with. For me its about quality, and not just brand name, dont get me wrong some brands tend to produce real good quality, but so do some cheap brands too!

Well said but how many of the cheap brands do you go through before getting to the pot of gold? Could have just got a mac by the end.....

    Cool Re: Fake MAC

I do go through a couple try's on some of the cheaper products, but it would be the same for MAC or any other name brand. It's simple some products work and some do not its trial and error.

I agree when first starting out, it is ALWAYS a good idea to not spend a huge amount of your hard earned cash. May I suggest (BH cosmetics eye shadow's palette) it's a good starter kit for practice, you can get it on amazon for like $20 and it comes with a lot of colors in matte and shimmer. Once you get your techniques down they you can try upgrading to the more expensive stuff. Just my input.

I don't mind paying extra for good products every once in a while (specially if the budget allows me to). You gotta be careful for those face MAC:
They are not sold at flea markets, grocery stores, beauty supply store, salon and mall kiosks
They never made 12 color eyeshadow cream palette product
Hello Kitty mascara or eyeliner is not a product from MAC
SINGLE Hello Kitty eyeshadows in special packaging has never been from MAC
Kim Kardashian collection doesn't have Pink Swoon product
“Goldmine” pigment product is not from MAC
Humid pigment is not from MAC, humid eyeshadow perhaps

Why buy fake when there are so many good alternatives. They may not be MAC, but they don't pretend to be. Make up from Avon is priced fair and it's good stuff for the most part. I've recently discovered Red Apple Lipstick online and I like them much better than MAC. Silkier and free shipping (no minimum purchase). Yeah, I don't like paying MAC prices either.

Yeah international shipping is fine, this is stated in deep in the terms. (maybe needs to be clearer) The shipping charges are automatically worked out by the system. Sorry we dont have the products what are you looking for?

Buying fake products can be very dangerous. You do not know the ingredients and there have been claims they are made with certain metals which get into the blood stream. I am real MAC all the way. It is expensive for makeup but there are alot more products that are way more expensive. I used to wear only chanel and switching to MAC saved me atleast a quarter of the money I was spending if not more.

Yeah, Fake is dangerous and not safe no matter what it is. A little segue here, but not off topic. In 2005 a sea plane crashed off the Florida coast after take-off, (you can see the crash on YouTube), the investigation found that the plane was being serviced and mainained by fake nuts and bolts. So yeah, fake is dangerous and not safe.

So, whenever I buy my make-up, I get the real deal. I've seen a few times where models have reacted very badly due to fake make-up, or brushes that just disintergate in the middle of an application.

I was working at a Fashion Week event a few years ago, and this one artist had an all M.A.C. kit, as MUA's we're all naturally curious to see what's in everyone eles's kit, as some of us were looking through her kit, we noticed all her M.A.C. looked different than what we're used to seeing. At first we all thought they were from Indonesia, Austraila or South Africa, but alas no because of the shoddy workmanship in the packaging. The artist tried to tell us that it was just wear and tear from shlepping her kit around, but at that point we all knew better, just as her model was starting to freak out about the red welts that were appearing all over her face.

That's probably my worst fear.. I will rather pay full price then actually look like someone who has joined some type of science experiment.

Mine too. It's when you try and remove the product, that they don't trust you anymore with any of your products. And sadly it just spirals down from there.
