I am a beauty therapist so have to have an eye for colour. To make eyes pop you need to use toned down colours for your greean eyes subtle colours such as golden browns, pale peaches use colours that shimmer if you frameyour eyes with a shimmering reflective colour so as to push the colour of your eyes forward. Sometimes you dont even need a colour just a light shimmer powder can make your eyes look amazing. I hope this helps you. x
So is it not good to wear shades of green eyeshadow with green?
try using some light lavender colours and if you want to brighten it for the night use lavender as the base colour and a darker purple as a contour colour, use a pale pearl shimmer just above or on the brow bone to highlight the arch or your eyebrows. remember if you are using purples try to find a blush to colour match with it. if you have a more yellow toned skin your classified as a warm colour so go for eyeshadows with a yellow or gold undertone to it, if your skin tone is more pink your classified as a cool colour so try to look for eyeshadows with a pink or blue tone to it. Hope this helps.
I have green eyes, and any variation of purple always looks really nice on me. I also have a red shadow that I really like, but it's a bit more dramatic than most go for. Green and red are complimentary colors, though. I assume this is why it works so well. Purple is close to that.
I find that when I do my eyemake up, purple and brown look the best on me. I have a peaches and cream skin tone, and these colors really make my eyes pop! I was at Wal*Mart the other day looking at eye make up, and I saw this make up that specifically told you what color eyeshadow to get for a certain eye color, you might want to go check that out, I can't remember the name though. Sorry![]()
would earthy colours count? (browns, golds that kinda thing)
I have green eyes so I might be able to help! I find that beige and gold colours look amazing as well as some browns and greens. I use mineral eyeshadow (try pinQ.me or Avon) which looks amazing without being OTT and is great for my skin!
I guess it will depend first on how bright or deep the green of your eye is, + also what tone your skin is and which undertones it has. Not mentionning your TASTES !
For green eyes, I'd recommend mauvy pinks and purples, and golds and browns. Warm colors ! Depending on your eye color, you can also try some greens, but the quest of finding the right shade will then be a little harder as you will need to find an e/s color that enhances your natural eye color and not completely wipe it out.
i have green eyes & these are the colors that really make them stand out A LOT!! (which it's harder for my eyes to stand out & be brightened because they are Olive green...so if you have medium to light green, these will def make your eyes stand out):
COPPER-BURNT ORANGE-BRONZE
MAROON-DEEP RED-PURPLE
I have green eyes tooI use earthy browns, beiges, bronzes and golds for everyday wear but if I want something different plum purple makes your eyes pop!
If you have green eyes, and you want to make them pop, you should go for the complementary colors. Colors with red undertones. Any browns, peaches, pinks, purples, that you find with red hue in them. I think brown/reds are the best.
However don't limit yourself to colors based on your eye color!! And if you like you can try and find a way to incorporate a pop color with the color you want to use. For instance if you are wearing orange and want to do a blue shadow, try a nice brown for your waterline and tightline, or for your lower lash.
