what color foundation perfectly matches your skin tone?? I am very confused about this. A lot of people say just take some of the foundation and put it on your jawline but do people really go into stores opening foundations and testing them?? Is that sanitary? And what if you are ordering online what do you do then? I am very curious because I would like to start warring foundation but am clueless as to matching my skin tone. Help me!!! Lol. i can help! Buying foundation online is always risky, and as a professional makeup artist i never recommend it unless you know exactly your shade. If you want to be matched up, go to a department store counter and ask to be matched. Any major company will be practicing proper sanitation and any decent artist will be able to help you. Try Mac foundations, they are my personal favorite and they will be personalized to your skin type, finish preference, and coverage preference. Good luck!

i get two shades of foundation, one darkish and one light.. i put it between my thumb and first finger, and i just rubb it and if theres one that maches my skin i get it (:

Yep you can find Mac locations at Macys, Nordstroms, Bloomingdales, and they also have free-standing stores. Go to www.maccosmetics.com to find your nearest one

you can also go to a Merle Norman store to be matched as well....and the free make overs are always fun....

I also recommend going to a department store or make up store to get matched. If you are not comfortable with the shade you can ask for a sample to try. They will usually give you a couple of days worth and you can see what it looks like in a variety of lights.
