What eyeshadow colors to use if...

My Mum has fair skin but dark eyelids/undereyes....
what color eyeshadow would best suit her? currently, she uses dark shades to make the dark lids looks normal...but colors like purple and blue do not work because of the darkness of the lids..
any recommendations?

tell her to try a soft gold, or brown. i have the same problem with undereye circles, and a light shimmery gold (not too crazy) or a nice brown can make your eyes look really good.

As a person wit dark pigment the trick to use if she wants her more vibrent colors to show is use a white eyeliner pencil trace where she wants her color to go and belnd out den apply color heavy or lite

well the best thing most definatley to cover those dark under eye circles is a concealer and if the lids are too dark try a concealer that is a shade lighter than her tone that should take care of theose circles and to make her eyes shine and look vibrant she should use GOLD

Tell her to base her lids with concealer to neutralize the darkness. Use a concealer that is lighter than the lids. Let them dry before the eyeshadow application. This way she can wear a bigger variety of tones.

i agree, she needs to conceal her dark circles and eyelids with concealer to even out the skin and neutralize the darkness. or at least rub some foundation on her eyes. but once everything is evened out, she can honestly wear whatever colors her heart desires

I would use golds and browns, my friend has the same problem. She also puts foundation over her eyes before putting the eyeshadow on, it lightens it up a little and keeps the make up on for longer! xx
