    Default Brush VS sponge [Opinions]

    VS

Do you usually use the brush or sponge that comes with the eyeshadows to apply your makeup?
I use the brush. It's easier to blend and it irritates my eyelids less.

I usually use a brush but to tell you the truth 9 times out of ten, I use my finger. I feel like I have more control over everything. I hate using sponges i feel like they make my make-up look splotchy. :-/

i use a brush, double ended laura geller eye shadow brush, one side is angled for blending its so nice to use, the sponge ones normally irritate my lids x

I love using the brush. Sometimes I use one after I have used the brush to blend in some colors.

I use a brush for a couple reasons. First being, you have way more control with a brush considering the sponge brushes that come with eyeshadow are usually about an inch long and well, what good is that? Second, brushes dont scratch your eyelids like the pores in sponges do, that's why your eyelids feel like they are on fire. Third, brushes don't 'soak up' your makeup the way sponges do. With a brush you can easily tap off extra makeup but a sponge will do exactly what a sponge was made to do... soak up excessive amounts of anything, including your makeup!

It depends on what I'm trying to do. I use brushes when I use podwer shadow and I use sponges when I use cream shadow. Or if I only want a lighter look I use brushes and when I want it on thick and heavy I use sponges; and not just the sponges that come with the shadow, but triangle sponges as well.

I'm using brush. I just can't transfer the shadow from sponge to my lid, it seems that shadow just stuck inside the sponge. And brush is better for blending.

This is totally going to spark a "Team Brush!" or "Team Sponge!" on signatures, huh? Haha!

I'm all for Team Brush. =P Sponges soak up too much product and I spend too much money for my makeup to look splotchy and get wasted. =P Plus, makeup is 40% product, 60% tools. The brushes make the look.

Yes, brushes are always the way to go! Mahya Cosmetics has a ton of brushes from synthetic to sable hair from selling them individually to selling them in sets. Also those of you who love the MAC brush belt bag, Mahya Cosmetics has the exact same one for half the price ($25 vs. $50) the only difference is that the MAC label is not in the middle. You can even buy the bag including brushes here!
