Hey everyone, I thought i'd make this thread to show you which hair care products I found successful and inexpensive - so you lot can benefit
1 - Aussie 'Luscious Long Shampoo'
For someone who has an adoration of long hair, this was perfect! It's got ingredients that horse hair shampoo has in, and left my hair feeling silky and shiny. It's a really nice blue colour when it comes out the bottle, and smells greatThe price was a little higher than normal shampoos (roughly between £3 & £4) but I'll definately be buying it again.
2 - Aussie 'Miracle Hair Insurance Leave-in Conditioner'
Again, another Aussie product I was left extremly satisfied with. I have really dry, brittle hair and so having been longing after a leave-in conditioner for a while - and now I've tried it I don't think I'll go back . It de-tangles your hair when you comb it after the shower - and smells like bubblegum. It doesn't leave a greasy residue and made my hair feel really shiny and healthy.
3 - Pantene Pro v 'Brunette Expressions Shampoo'
Another great shampoo that caters for all hair types, it comes in other colours too. It left my hair really soft and shiny and I ended up recommending it to all my friends - as it brought out all the different shades of brown in my mousey hair. It smells lovely and creates a glossy effect in your hair.
4 - vo5 'Hot Oil'
I always use this after I've straightened my hair for a night-out, as I have naturally wavy which breaks easily! It's great for repairing damaged hair and costs about 99p. It also comes in 4-packs. I would suggest that it is not applied to the roots of the hair as it will leave it very greasy.
5 - The Body Shop 'Coconut Oil Hair Shine'
Again, really good for damaged or dry hair - or hair distressed by the winter weather. A quick run-through after showering creates shiny, healthy hair and it also promotes growth. Minimal amounts of the product should be used as too much makes the hair greasy or leaves greasy residues. It also smells lovely and comes in a handy tin.
6 - Superdrug Curl Creme (own brand product)
Although it looks and smells like PVA glue, its great for detangling and defining curls -whether for natural or heat-styled curls. It's cheap enough to keep buying and is a small size for travel bags
7 - Umberto Giannini 'Curl Friends' spray. Mini Curl Spray
I find this really useful to tame fly-away, dry hair - and to keep a style in place. It is very like hairspray - except hairspray is very cakey in my hair - and becomes flakey and hard to get rid of. It is a handy size for handbags and is great for girls who don't do much to their hair
8 - Charles Worthington Heat defence spray
This spray if great for preventing hair becoming fryed when straightening, and it has a great consistency that doesnt leave residue. It gets the job done and leaves a great smell too
9 - v05 airstyle 'crackling wax spray'
I found this product smoothed and styled my hair after straightening - although too much makes it greasy - so the product must be used sparingly. I love the texture - it comes out like a little crackling ice cake hehe
10 - Alberto Balsam shampoos & conditioners
They're cheap, come in all sorts of delicious flavours/scents and give hair a revitalising lift In use with heavy, very glossy shampoos like the previously mentioned products, they get rid of any greasy residues built up and leave the hair smelling scrumptious!
My favourite is strawberries and cream
I hope this helped
