Weird Issue with Mascara! Please help!

I hated wearing makeup and I think I look better without it but sometimes I like wearing simple mascara and some lip gloss, you know?
well i have blonde eyelashes and I guess they are pretty thick.
I have problems getting all of my lashes with the wand. I can NOT get to my roots no matter how hard I try. I've tried the whole moving the wand back and forth to get to the roots. I just can't do it. So I end up looking really stupid with only tips and parts of my eyelashes in mascara. the only way i feel like i could possibly get them is if I coat it on ridiculously heavy, something I dont want to do!
I like a more natural looka nd I've tried every kind of mascara. I just can't seem to find something that works.
Does anybody have suggestions? Please help.

Try an eyelash comb beforehand.

did you try brown mascara so the blonde and black dont look to harsh together?

yea i hate brown mascara. you can still see my blonde roots and i dont like the way brown looks on me, it doesnt make the green pop out in my eyes ....im looking for an eyelash comb now. no one seems to carry them in the store! i know you can buy tehm online

you can try out a mascara balm... if you have seen loreal, the one with purple in one end and then on the other end there is a white one (the balm thing),, you can buy a mascara balm on the store, there are other brands.. but i think it will cover it up.. easy

Oh you mean the double ended mascara where one end has the white and the other black? I've tried that before too.

I really think it also has something to do with the way my eyelashes grow oddly. My sister says "they grow straight out" and also I think they grow out kind of downward its weird. if it helps ill post a picture.

Have you been thinkin about eyelash tinting? If it's done by professionals, it will cover all hair, with roots. And you will have nice black colour without using mascara.

since you say your eyelashes grow out weirdly, try curling them. this will lift the shafts up, so you can access the roots easier.

yea, the double ended mascara
to make your lashes curl more, you can try to heat up the curling tool alittle, but not too much.. that is what i do when i really want my mascara to be dazzling, since i have short and it also grows straight out..

If you put a natural liner in the water line for top and bottom, you might find the look to be better for your roots.

My mom is a professional and has tinted my eyelashes. I LOVE the way it looks, only problem is I live in NY now and my home is in PA. It's alot of maintenance and you gotta keep it up plus sometimes itll seep into my eyes and burn. I'm really scared of getting cataracts.

Also, since my mom is an aesthetician/makeup professional she told me that I shouldn't buy a curler because it reduces growth and eyelashes fall out. But, she really hasnt given me good options on what I should do.

Yes, the biggest problem with tinting eyelashes is that its pretty hard to do it by yourself, and when someone else is doing it on you, you need to keep your eyes closed for about 15 mins

About curling. I don't know if your mom've heard about eyelash perm. Its similar to what you're doing with your hair when you're perming them, its just not so strong. There is few sizes of curlers, so you (or professionals) can choose which one will be the best. If you'll choose the biggest size it will just nicely lift your eyelashes, but if you'll choose smaller, it will curl them as well. Size of curlers depends of lenght of your lashes, and effect you want to achieve. This treatment takes about 40 minutes. (its max 15 mins with perm on lashes, and then same amount of time with setting lotion). So you, as a client again like with tinting need to keep your eyes closed, but this time much longer. After eyelash perm, you shouldn't use any mascara on your lashes for at least 24 hours, to make treatment longer-lasting. One treatment should last for at least a month. I know all that, because I was trained how to do it. Hope I helped you a little bit.

Actually it should last for much longer - till your new eyelashes'll grow, but it depends of products used.

Ok I really don't like Brown mascara, but in some cases you really do need them.. Here's what you need to do to get that natural look.. Use a Primer for lashes- It will allow them to be conditioned and combed good before applying your mascara.. You won't even need much mascara after you see what the primer alone will do....

hey , eyelash tinting is a good idea, but if you don't have the money or patience, yuo can try liquid black eyeliner and paint on the part of the lashes the mascara wand won't reach=)

I think that should try out eyelash extension. They can really make your eyes look great. Vancouver eyelash extensions are a little bit expensive and they take a long time to put on, but you will be really impressed with the results.
