what's the best concealor and the best way to apply concealor.

I have very dark cirles, partly due to genetics partly due to allergies, so i know there is no way they will ever disapear. What is the best type of concealor to use for the best coverage. I also am curious as to if there is any waterproof concealor, and one that won't disapear into my creases. I have used everything from Covergirl maybelline, lancome, clinic, mac u name it I've tried it. I just purchased both dermablend and Erase paste. Which is the best. I haven't used them beacause they are so thick. I'm thinking that's exactly what I need. I apply concealor and eyeshadow but never foundation. Is this why I never see a difference. I also apply a loose powder in the morning but touch up with a pressed powder thru out the day. I don't like to use foundation unless I'm going to a party or wedding or that sort of occasion. So again I ask, how to apply to get best results?

hay i use the green and yellow conceler stick from sally's beauty store i think it works well give it a try

use a shade of concealer that is slightly lighter than your natural skin. and if you are using mac concealer, use an NW shade under the eyes because it will help alot with the dark circles.
also, foundation helps ALOT. using a sheer foundation will help. also, using a brush wont make it seem as heavy.
you could try a mineral foundation, which makes it feel like you have hardly any make up on

I have had the same problem for over 20 years! I've tried so many concealers and from my experience the best concealor is by Elizabeth Arden and the worst is by Bobbi Brown (thick and sticky therefore no matter how much time I waited before applying the powder, the powder would adhere mostly to anywhere I had applied the concealer leaving those areas darker than the rest of my face) I really like the concealer by Elizabeth Arden. It is just the right consistency, dries quickly and does a great job of covering the cirlcles or blemishes. It has never given me an allergic reaction or made my eyes water. The container comes with its own applicator wand. You can apply it with either your ring finger, a concealer brush or a sponge if your in a hurry. P.S. The next gift with a purchase for Elizabeth Arden is in July 2010 at Macy's.

i have really dark, almost purplish, under eye circles, and this is what i do:

1. pat on a yellow concealer with a concealer brush (if im in a hurry i'll use my ring finger, but it sheers the concealer out and gets all over your finger, IMO you get much better opaqueness using a synthetic concealer brush)

2. i dab on a concealer that matches my skin tone over it w/the concealer brush (if i do the one or two shades lighter thing, it makes my eye area look scary white).

3. then i dip a clean, fluffy blending brush in translucent powder and pat it over the concealer to set.

i dont think you need foundation if you dont like it or dont need the coverage. just make sure you blend the edges of the concealer well into your skin so it doesnt appear youve caked it under your eye.

i heard erase paste was good for under eye circles...i do think you need a more thick concealer for bad dark circles unfortunately, but also look for one that is creamy and blends well, and doesnt feel heavy on your skin. i use physicians formula concealer in yellow and the camo quad in medium from coastal scents, cuz its so creamy and opaque but not super thick. plus you get 4 different shades to mix and match.

I have very dark circles due to genetics too.

I used many yellow-toned concealer from all the brands you have tried also, but none seem to work for me either, and recently I decided to give a peachy/salmon concealer a try and have concluded that peachy concealer hues work best for my under eye circles rather than yellow-tones.

I now use Paula Dorf Special Camouflage Peach/Yellow Duo. I first moisturize my eyes and let it set for 2 minutes, and then I apply the concealer w/an under eye concealer brush or my ring finger softly, going from outside to the inside of my eye with soft upward strokes. Lastly, I lightly brush/pat with my powder.

i tend to make a triangle shape under my eye, then dab it on with an old foundation brush, and do not rub as we dont want to rub it off
and anti dull primer will also work wonders under your foundation!
