electric purple

im in love with my electric blue napoleon loose dust. i love how, when i use it as liner it makes my eyes look a much lighter brown. i really want to find a purple equivalent but im not having any luck at all - nothing is bright enough. napoleon only have a lilac and that just doesnt cut it for me.

any suggestions?

good bright purples are hard to find...but the greatest true brilliant purple shadow ever, in my opinion, would probably be Make Up For Ever's eyeshadow in No.92. Urban Decay has some really great purple and violet shadows too, Flash is a nice shimmery bright purple. also, i tried a $1, 1/8tsp sample (they have 5 and 10 gram jars available too) of Pure Luxe Cosmetics' mineral eye shadow in "Grape," and its pretty bright purple and has really great pigmentation, especially if you use a good base underneath, so i'd recommend trying that if you don't mind buying it online. http://pureluxecosmetics.com/Eye_Color_3.html

are these shadows pressed or loose?
and the make up forever is it matte or metallic?

lipglossy - i don't know if it suits me either hahaha. I hope so because I love the idea of it. I have a few pastel purple shadows and I have to be careful how I use them because they can wash me out if I don't use taupe/brown base colou first

I'm going to assume you have experience with Pure Luxe...? I couldn't find the grape one you mentioned but there was one called 'erotica' that caught my eye; just wondering how true the real colour is to the photo?

oh, the Grape shade is in the middle section, under 'Bubblegum ballz' in Eye Color 3, its loose mineral shadow and got a bit of shimmer. i got 5 or 6 eyeshadow samples from Pure Luxe before, and they looked pretty similar to the photo, plus the description is good too. hope that helps

if you're into trying out bright shadows, i would recommend getting the "Creative Me #1" palette from Coastal Scents, because it has 12 bright matte colors... yellows, oranges, pinks, green/teals and blues, and a nice matte bright purple that's similar (but slightly darker) to the Make Up For Ever no. 92 its around 20 bucks i think, i have this palette and im in love with it because you can do so many looks with just those shadows or add in neutral colors too.

I like the shade of purple however i haven't tried using it. One day I will get a chance to use it and hope it will just fit just right for me.
