i am looking for a foundation thats mineral based any suggestions

Just be wary of some ingredients in some brands such as talc, as it could irritate some skins. Best to just test out a few and see how you go

Try Smashbox Primer in light or classic ( depending on regular or oily skin) Then Halo powder. It is the only hydrating mineral powder on the market.

I use the cheeper mineral powders like... maybelline and it works well.

bare minerals is the best ive ever used. Ive been a dedicated user for almost 3 years now. its a bit pricey, but i work at Sally beauty supply and we carry a brand called Femme Couture and it works amazingly. You will never want to use liquid ever again.

Lighthouse Minerals only uses a couple ingredients in their makeup, no fillers or anything. It's the only makeup that doesn't make my face break out.

if you have oily skin i would stay away from a liquid mineral makeup, like MAC's liquid mineralize but they also make a baked mineral powder and a loose mineral powder that contain 77 minerals... compared to bare essentials, which only have 3. The loose powder is jet-milled so it is ultra fine and silky in texture and none will clog yours pores... but wash your face at night!!! no matter what, it's gonna be the key to not breaking out. I would go to a MAC PRO store and get 'Face and Body' foundation (%50 water/ %50 foundation) and then set it with MAC baked Mineralize Skinfinish - trust - this is your answer!!!! my fave <3
