Ways to jazz up short(ish) hair =] ?

I recently got my hair cut short for a change, it's shorter than my shoulders, but longer than my ears, so its neck length.

I was wondering what ideas people would come up with about how to style it or jazz it up a bit.

I've got prom coming up next month too, so I was wondering what people would think I should do for that =]

My hair is about the same length it sounds like. I had it just kind of plain for a while, (i also got it cut shorter for change) then I got lots of choppy layers and thinned a bit. It's really cute and semi flares out with out doing anything to it, and if I use a round curling brush while I blow dry my hair (with a little bit of mousse or styling gel) it flares out all over and is really darling.

I have the same length of hair and I like to flat iron it, and then back comb the bottom layers to give it lot's of body!!!! Add a cute bobby pin, clip or headband for a change Oh and for prom I want to crimp my hair (make it REALY big) and then tie in a black bow on the side. Hope this helps!

Pulling back some bangs and putting in a bobby pin is really cute. I like that style a lot on almost every hair cut.

I have shortish hair also and i got chopy layers put into so when i'm in the mood i just tease it and i usally have really big hair and then its super pen straight towards the bottom, or there are day when i can just let it do whatever or i pin my bangs back into a poof lol. Also for prom i looked into buy a hair peice that is already styled. I found one at salleys beauty suppy for 25 dollors and its a clip in curled hair piece and looks great

I have choppy layers and bangs in my hair too, so this is really helpful =p
I forgot to mention that at the top on my first post, =s but your responses have been really great =] I think I might make a little notebook of these suggestions so whenever I'm stuck on what to do for my hair in the day, I can just choose one from the book. Put pictures in as well etc. =p

If i was you i could have some long extensions then curl it, it wood look amazing :P

or if you dont really like extension i would try a sort of christian agualria candyman hair look ???

Yeah that's a cool idea =D
I'm not sure about the hair extensions because I just got my hair cut and people would get confused =p
Maybe in the future i will =]
But I rather like the Christian Aguilera candyman hair idea =D
