Default Foundation Question (New To Makeup)

Hi, I know that when you wear liquid foundation you follow up with a powder to set the liquid foundation and then a translucent or matteifier for oil (I think lol again I new to make-up). My questions is because I have oily skin can I just use a loose powder or mineral foundation and then trans/matte powder afterwards? I want to try something cheap first so I'm thinking Covergirl, Loreal, or even Wet n Wild. Which do you think is better?
    Thank you.

If you use just powder, you'll have to reapply it some. Since your skin is dry, sounds like the Pancake (Max Factor) would be good. You just use a sponge and water to apply. It's about the same price as Loreal or Cover Girl. It goes on lighter than it looks, so be sure to get a dark enough shade or it will look blotchy.

If your new to make up be good to your skin while you still can!

Don't clog your face full of chemicals you'll end up with loads of spots.. go for a mineral make up.

I buy mineral foundation and then setting powder afterwards to absorb the oil. Its perfect has no chemicals, dyes or talk so your skin will stay clear!!

You can buy little pots to give it a try also so you can find the right shade too.

    Give it a go

Hey I know Covergirl came out with some oil-free makeup (foundation, powder) that can be used for your problem... i hope that helps

I use Revlon ColorStay during the summer, then apply a loose powder by CoverGirl. I do however, apply Milk of Magnesia with a cotton ball after my moisturizer/sunscreen to help mattify and prime my face for foundation. This keeps my face from getting oily.
