Stretch Marks can only be cured by laser treatments but there are a lot of oils and lotions you can use which can minimize stretch marks to appear less visible. I heard bio-oil works good, and for pregnant women the Palmer's olive oil or coco butter lotion for stretch marks work great.
First of all, no matter what anyone tells you, if you are going to get stretch marks, you will get them, there isn't a fool-proof prevention. Most women get them at some stage in life from weight fluctuation or pregnancy. I'm 17 and I have small ones on my thighs. It is all to do with the elasticity of your skin when it stretches, so think about pregnancy and how much your skin needs to stretch to accomodate your baby, the marks will be visible during and after pregnancy. There isn't a true 'cure' as your skin has to adapt to your new body shape. Keep your skin in good shape, drink lots of water and I've heard Palmer's Cocoa Butter is a great moisturiser!
I've heard cocoa butter helps but you should use it before you have the stretch marks-I don't think it helps once you have them.
In general alot of people conclude that creams don't work. They do indeed work, consistency however is the key. People are too anxious all the time and stop using a product after a short time if they don't see quick results after days or a week. Only with chemical peels for acne does that happen. I had success with Ecel Skin Care's all purpose cream, good for scars as well.
They have a store on Amazon which has the best prices.
I heard that Bio-Oil works wonders. I haven't personally tried any products to prevent stretch marks ... but when my best friend was pregnant, Bio-Oil was her holy grail! Hope this helps.
Taking cold showers and applying moisturizing body lotions help me a lot to minimize the stretch marks. Unfortunately I was too lazy to repeate this routine during the pregnancy![]()
I think it's not only for pregnant women. I think stretchmarks and scratch-marks have similarities or they refer to just one? I have friends who haven't gave birth but they have stretchmarks on their legs, butts and even on arms. And we're all not sure where they got it. Is there anyone who can tell us possible cause of such for single women? Thanks
Yes its true...they cant be removed once they appear. You have to cure for the stretch marks before they appear on your skin.
