Difference between Lip Gloss and Lipstick?

Wow. some of what ive read is true. Both lipsticks and glosses can be very sheer. EX frost, glaze, and lustre Lipsticks color pay offs arent that good. these are best used WITH a gloss because they ARENT very pigmented lipsticks. Amplified creme or just amplified and matte lipstick color payoff is excellent. the matte has no shine and can be drying to your lips so makesure you use a moisturizer before. the amplified will give you intense color with a high shine. But dont just keep yourself in a box. You can buy Pigments and MAKE YOUR OWN lipcolor. And pigment can be used for your eyes cheeks and lips. Find a multipurpose pigment that you like MAC has alot and put some on your lips then get a nice gloss that compliments the color or just clear if you wish, and put it on. Youre set! Lipstick tends to stay on longer then gloss, and it's a "matte" finish most of the time, less sheen and sparkle. Lipstick is solid.

Lip gloss needs to be reapplied frequently. It has a nice sheen/sparkle. Lip gloss is liquid.

Lip color is also a liquid, and it comes in richer deeper colors than lip gloss. You can get the long last of lipstick, but with the sheen of lipgloss with lip color.

Well, LipStick stays on way longer, but dosen't moisturize that good, and Lip Gloss dosen't stay on, but has a shine shimmer and moisturizes most of the time.

Here is how I understand (and use) them:
lip gloss - make lips shiny
lip balms - keep lips protected and scented
lipstick - lip coloring

lip gloss is used primarily to give lips a glossy lustre and sometimes subtle color while lipstick contains pigments, oil,wax to protect the lips. but the relevance of lip gloss and lipstick is that they are both for the lips.. hhmm but lipstick is more fashionable..

Lip sticks comes in lots of different textures and is great at providing a dense, rich color that can last all day and night. Lipsticks have both texture (matte,cream,glossy,frosted) and color. Lip glosses imparts lots of shine and translucent colors.
