Default To sponge or not to sponge...

    THAT is the question! lol.

I've been playing with different techniques with applying liquid foundation and I find sometimes I get too much or streaks with a brush (bad brush??) and seem to like a sponge better.

I like the sponge because it blends better and isn't too thick, so I can layer it if need be. ** I do wet the sponge a little bit so it's damp before I put foundation on it.

I guess it's all a matter of preference - what have you gals experienced??

I know someone said 50% of the foundation is absorbed in the sponge, but it doesn't seem TOO bad, and is applied nicely, soooo...

Anyways, I'd like your thoughts! Thanks in advance!!!

I prefer using a brush or fingers although I like sponges too haha, I like variety and so swap every now and then XD It really is just a matter of preference. And yes the foundation does get absorbed in the sponge but it does in a brush as well, and they're easily cleaned.

sponges are gross if you don't throw them away everyday and yes they waste foundation, fingers are the best.

I say no sponge. They harvest germs so you have to throw them away after each use which can cost alot of money also they absorb most of the foundation which again can get pricey a dual fiber stippling brush is great

I use a duo fibre stippling brush to apply my liquid foundation I've never had any problems with it looking streaky/uneven etc. If you stipple on to your skin and then buff it in it gives a flawless even finish.

My duo fibre brush was from Superdrug by company called QVS and I've never had any problems with it shedding or anything like that. It was only around £6

I sometimes use a sponge, I prefer using a brush though, Only because the sponge does absorb the foundation, and my foundation is expensive, i cant afford to be wasting it, but i guess its whatever works for you. Everyone has their own preference.

I like to use a foundation brush. A good quality brush makes huge difference.

I prefer a flat top brush (the one by Sonia Kashuk), but sponges work well. They do absorb a lot of product, which is my main problem with it. I have to put on a lot more because of that. It gives a very even and smooth application, though.
