lip liner!

hey all!
Do you apply lip liner every time you apply lipstick? And if you just use lip gloss, do you think we must use lip liner as well?

I just use lip gloss, and I never have used liner with lip gloss (may have to try it sometime) I just gotta be careful with colors cause my lips are little funky :/.

With lipstick though I sometimes apply it, but it depends if I am in a hurry or not.

I never really use it, though I'd be interested in doing so. Lipstick doesn't actually feather for me so there isnt much need to use it.

I don't think lip liner is necessary all of the time. However, it is good to have several shades handy in case you purchase a lipstick/lip gloss that happens to feather/bleed. You should have a lip liner close to your natural lip color and a nude lip liner. If you are purchasing a frost finish lipstick or a lip color with shimmer, test it out and see if the shimmer travels. If it does, you should use a lip liner.

Yeah, I agree with everything here as well. Also, just to add, I find that lip liners don't really prevent glosses from bleeding, then again if your gloss is bleeding, that means you have too much on.

Well lip liner is cheap and it makes gloss and lipstick stay so it is worth it for deffo all you need is one lip liner that is the same colour as your lips rather than getting lots of different colours to match the lipstick.

Well if you use lip gloss than I don't think that lip liner is necessary or suits...But if we use lipstick than lip liner add a nice look to it..Dark color liner and light color lipstick with that is the best...

That's a bit dated... like 2 decades. I haven't seen a forecast for that dark liner/lighter lip colour combo coming back anytime soon.

If I use lip liners its because I want my lips to look more defined as none of the lipsticks I own tend to feather. Usually when I use liners though once I've lined my lips I then fill them in and use a brush to soften it and then put my lipstick over the top. I find it keeps my lipstick on longer and prevents that really annoying moment when you realise you lipstick is vanished and your liner is the only thing intact.
