well if you want long term results there is a product called " acne cleanse" by dermalogica that works wonders. It takes about 3 weeks before you see results but it is amazing after that! For good coverup use a WATER, not oil, based coverup and apply with a makeup sponge. If u do it with your fingers it isnt as even and its more noticeable

Something that isn't on the market and you have to get it from a doctor is called Clindamycin 1% gel. It's great! I use it all the time and I am pregnant now lol! Another thing I use is Dermalogica clarifying mattefier. You use it under your makeup or alone. It won't make you shiny and it will clear up your face at the same time!

Try Timeless Prescription 3 step acne system. It works great and has time released benzyl peroxide so it won't be harmful on your skin. Another great option is Prevaderm. This is a natural supplment that works from the inside out to stop the acne forming bacteria from being produced. There is a lot more information on macanada.com on these products. (be sure to click on the us flag at the top so you can see these productss though)

    Good luck.

    Hey massie,

Okay, let's get you started with a skin care routine. I find The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil line to be perfect to clear up oily skin.

    Let's start with a cleanser.
You need something to wash away dirt, makeup, and impurities, but something gentle on your skin.
If you have oily skin, this cleanser works best. Since it's a liquid wash, you get more moisture than a foam or gel cleanse (which is makes for a gentle cleanse). The Tea Tree combats the shine and acne.
If you have super oily skin, try this cleanser. This will have a little less moisturizing properties to it, so it's sure to keep your skin free of shine all day.

    Next step is a toner.
This is an important step for ones with acne, since it removes all traces of makeup and dirt. It's also super refreshing. This toner does the job of a daily toner with a cool feeling as you apply.

Now you need a good moisturizer.
This part is trickier. Since you just removed some good oils from your skin, a moisturizer is very important to replenish those at night. I find the Tea Tree Oil line moisturizers not rich enough to do this if you have oily skin.
But for super oily skin, the Tea Tree Oil Mattifying Moisturizer is perfect.
If you have the average oily skin, use a moisturizer from The Body Shop's aloe line. Since the ingredients are mainly natural, it won't clog your pores at night, but replenish. Use a fair amount of Aloe Soothing Night Cream at night.

And once a week, use a gentle exfoliator then apply a mask according to package directions.
