Default How to create volume in flat hair?

I have been using creative Pro's texture thickening creme to stop the hair in the front of my head from lying flat. I have long hair and this does work but only through mid day. I've also been using root awakening spray by big sexy hair, but again only a mid day fix. Any suggestions to keep more volume in the front of my hair?

Well what I'd like to start doing is after showering taking a few BIG dollops of volumizing mousse and running it through damp hair and then blow drying from above downward with a round brush!

You know I used to use mousse, but it always made my hair so heavy by the end of the day. Do you have thick hair?

i found that aussie volume products work really good! you could also get a volumising spray instead of a mousse. Also when you blow dry your hair pull your hair upto the sky with a round bristle brush whilst blowdrying, this should help lots too!

Use hair thickening spray and mousse. When drying your hair, use a round brush and concentrate on your roots.

I've been following this thread - and I just wanted to alert everyone that Shielo is having their Volume Shampoo at 50% off on their site! I know this shampoo is expensive and NEVER goes on sale, but at 50% off - I am going to stock up and buy 4 to have with me.

I bought Shielo's Volume line once 6 months ago and have been in LOVE with it ever since. I have super fine hair that breaks easily. This product gives great impressive volume, while protecting and conditioning hair. It helps with tangles as well. I love it.

Why not change your hairstyle? If any product you tried don't give the effect you expect from them, I guess it's the natural look of your hair that don't work well with these products. You better change your hairstyle to make it look voluminous.

I must agree with cosmetology campus, if your hair is flat try to change your hairstyle.
Consult some professional at the salon and they can give you remedies to your flat hair.
They can suggest you a how to enhance or what are the perfect hairstyle that really fits in your face to look like a non flat hair.

    1.wash your hair
2.Apply a quarter-size amount of thick anti-frizz serum to your damp towel-dried hair to keep your strands smooth
    3.Dry your hair
    4.Section hair in 1-1 1/2 inch sections.
5.Spray your hair with a light hold hairspray

It's all in the shampoo and conditioner. You need something that is effective. I have nappy hair, too. I swear by Pantene products. Straighten your hair first and buy Pantene products to apply your hair on a daily basis. They will work wonders. Hope this helps!!!
