    Default What should I use?

Okay, I've NEVER used a concealer before, I need help picking out my first concealer (: I've never needed one because I never saw a use for it, but I've began noticing dark under eye circles and I have imperfections on my face just as any other person, so if you have any suggestions that would be great (preferably drugstore to start with because I live in a small town so I don't have a Mac or anything near me, theyre all at least 45 minutes away...)

    HI!
Dark cirlces: one of the first signs to dehyrdration so start by drinking water-alot! not too much just enough!
Dark Circles: one of the first signs to lack of circulation-

start by using an eye cream.

I really like the joe brand of cosmetics and rimmel concealer or eyen the cover girl clean makeup line has a nice one:
get a concealer that is really smooth and slightly wet in texture it will give you the most hydration.
Rimmel: theirs comes with a sponge wand applicator its called hydra.....something.
also their colors are super blendable and are safe for most skin types

Make sure a concealer or make up matches your skin. See how it looks in bright light or sunlight. It should blend so well that it seems transparent on the skin, yet it hides the desired areas. A more natural look is when you use sheer layers. Here are some tips to get the best results out of concealer:
Tip 1 - Put a small amount on your fourth fingertip. Dot it on and move from the outside corner of the eye inward, and back out again.
Tip 2 – Concealer can be used over or under foundation, whichever way you choose, be sure to blend, blend and blend. While you are blending, be gentle to your skin. A triangular makeup sponge can be used to blend in a gentle back-and-forth dotting motion.

Tip 3 - Always prep dry skin with moisturizer before applying.

Tip 4 - Don’t use concealer on freckles and pigmentations unless you really need to because they may require heavier layers which could make them look worse.
Tip 5 – When it comes to dark circles, use your fingertips for the under eye area. Use a shade lighter than your foundation if they are recessed. Use a bit darker if they are puffy.
Tip 6 – To hide spider veins, you will need a yellow-based concealer.
Tip 7 – Don’t forget the most susceptible areas like the nose bridge, corner of mouth and outer corner of eyes. These areas need special attention while applying concealer.
Tip 8 - Apply concealer sparingly. It shouldn’t be cakey or thick.
Tip 9- After applying, smile into the mirror and check that you applied the concealer evenly. Blot gently with a tissue over uneven spots.
Tip 10 – After you have finished, lightly brush with a sheer translucent powder. This will set your concealer.
Tip 11 - Always have two concealers. Have one for your tanned days whether from a tanning booth or from the sun, and one for your normal skin tone.
Tip 12 - Do not keep concealer or other costmetics for more than a year. It could harbor bacteria which will cause your face to break out

TOP 5 TIPS FOR USING CONCEALER
. Always apply concealer after foundation - until you have a base, you don't know exactly what you need to camouflage.

What's more, applying foundation over concealer can easily rub it off.
The concealer must be the same shade as your foundation - you may even have to buy two shades and mix them on your hand before you apply them.

If you're using stick concealers, you may find that using a little eye cream will help mix the two shades together.
. If you're not wearing foundation, concealer must still match your skin tone.
Using too light a shade on dark circles (as many women do) will actually make them more noticeable, and a light shade on a spot will highlight its shape.

. Never use a magnifying mirror when you apply concealer. It's tempting, but you'll put on too much.
. You've probably seen green concealers for sale. They claim to reduce redness.
Avoid them, they are almost impossible to use without giving the skin a grey cast. If you have high color, a foundation with yellow undertones will cancel out the redness just as well.

I use Omorovicza Correcting Pencil. The same shade looks good on me and my sister who is much darker than I.
