    Default Dress making help needed!

    Hiya guys,

I'm making a dress similar to this maxi dress. I'm not sure how to go about it? Any advice? What lining should I use? How to do the top part? etc. any feedback would be good!
I've had a couple of ideas.
i.e. use an a line pattern for the skirt?
    Use a sweetheart neckline?
use a corset pattern for the top part?
    etc
I'm not really sure how to make the skirt part drape like that?

Also, I'll be using chiffon or georgette for the cream/navy bit and possibly satin for the black/light pink part.

THANKS! (finally a post that's not about my hair) Hahasad.jpg

Sewing is a fun and practical skills learning. Especially if you have a passion for fashion, you want to make their own clothes, or you need to adjust and change some of the clothes you always wanted to change. Of course, with some sewing skills, you can fix that dress has been waiting for repairs.

I think she's referring to the heart-shape neckline (upper part of heart). To Rawr, I think you need to use a type of fabric that shapes with the body so that it will sways like what is on the photos. For the lining part, make it softer and not length-level or floor length as to the dress - can be just above the knee. But if the color is dark, you can even not use any lining since it won't be see-through. For the upper part, you can use a bra as your guide so it will fit perfectly to your breast area. I'm not really good at sewing but I hope my ideas are understandable and achievable.

For many, a watch is a status symbol for those who wish to read time in a fashionable way. designer brand name is considered to be a status symbol to sport on your wrist. whether you are wearing a cheap watch or luxury one, watches are displaying fashion all the time.
