Red Eyeliner?

I'm a total eyeliner freak, and i have a punk/emo style and some of my guyfriends have red eyeliner, and I cant seen to find any. Do you know any good ones? I'm desperate! I've also seen people using lipliner, is that safe, does it smudge or run? I need tips, info, and past experiences.

I haven't tried the red liner, not even once. If I want to look like an emo, I'd rather use black since red is hard to find and it doesn't fit my skin complexion. Maybe you can try the red lip liner since some of my colleagues used it before and there's nothing seemed to be a problem with that. Btw, i don't know any brand for red liners. I think the branded ones have more color varieties of liners like mac.

I really can't say I've seen red eyeliner, there could be some from theatre makeup brands like Ben Nye or Kryolan, or edgier brands like Make Up Forever, Illamasqua, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, etc. I've definitely seen pink eyeliners from brands like Tokidoki and Hard Candy. You could always use something like that or white eyeliner and then take red eyeshadow and set the line with it to make it pop red. Or just wet an eyeliner brush with water or a mixing medium and make red eyeshadow into liner.

I don't know if lip liner is safe to use on the eyes, you have to be careful with your eyes being irritated by the dye, carmine, or whatever they use in red makeup (some people are more sensitive to reds, not just in makeup but things like red tattoo ink too). Also, I must mention that red eye makeup done wrong can make some people look a little scary, like they have bleeding or wounded eyes. I think that if you want to try it out, go ahead and get creative, it might end up looking cool.

red pigmentation has a tendency to stain. I have a red eye shadow from BH and every time I use it, it stains my eye lids like crazy! Might be why you are having a hard time finding a legit red eye liner.

Aye, I find my red eyeliner stains. I have a few different colour liquid liners, including red, and I have pencils too.

i don't find red eyeliner cute , i do still prefer black because it is applicable to all especially your an emo/punk type person . you can seek advices from makeup-artists they can give more information on your eyeliner preference that best fits your facial features.. for Black eyeliner still the best!!!

I've done the red eyeliner thing for goth editorial shoots. I wouldn't recommend lip liners, as they are too slippery as is Ben Nye's creme liner pencils which are used for body painting.

Your best bet is to use Kryolan's eyeliner pencil in Pink (it looks like bright fuchsia), or use Kryolan's liquid eyeliner in Red (it looks like deep red). You can get them online at http://www.alconeco.com/

Their website doesn't show everything that they carry in their 200 pg catalogue, so you might have to call their CS support and they will place the order for you.
