Need help with non-gunk proof lipstick!

I have problems with lipstick that gunks in the corners of my mouth. which brand of affordable lipstick is good for not gunking and will stay put for a long time? just wondering. thanks!

Do you use a lip liner or lip primer before applying your lip stick? That may help with the gunkyness.

no I never thought of it. where can I find lip primer? what cheap brand do you recommend?

Personally whenever I use lipstick, I just make sure that my lips are moisturized first before putting any lipstick on. I put lip balm on and let it sit on my lips for about 5 minutes or so. Then I wipe off any extra lip balm off my lips so that they are not so slippery. Next, I apply a nude color lip liner to my lips. I line my lips first, and then I colour the rest of my lips in. Then I apply my lipstick of choice and finish off with a little bit of clear lip gloss.

In terms of a lip primer ... I haven't tried one yet because lip balm and lip liners work just fine for me at the moment ...

What I do, like to the mall or something, is apply clear shine lip gloss, add pigment (eyeshadow or powdered makeup), and then blend it together with more clear lip gloss or I use Chapstick for extra protection/ soft lips. It dosen't last long, so keep a little container of pigment and lip gloss in your purse if you want

That corner-mouth gunkiness syndrome, comes from a dry mouth. And that cotton-mouth saliva that sticks to the sides of your tongue is what eventually creeps to the corners of your mouth. No amount of lipsticks, glosses or lip balms will solve this.

Solution: suck on mints or chew gum.

I hate that problem so I tried a lip gloss that's highly pigmented
I prefer glossy textures
