watch out for black eyeliner....a little will do you well but be VERY careful with the thickness of the line: you may want to try a gray or brown liner instead. for eyeshadow, watch out for bright colors. they might look rly pretty on the shelf, but i guarantee that they will clash with your eyes. try going rly neutral with different shades of browns and golds. if you go pink, keep it light both in tone and application. stay away from purples, oranges, blues, and greens for your own safety![]()
Before I dyed my hair to dark auburn I was had very similar colouring to you. I found that these were the best colours to bring out my eyes:
Eyeliner- Dark purple (almost burgandy), Copper, or Dark green, brown was okay too though
Eyeshadow- All shades of green are good, coppers and golds, and corals are amazing
The colours other than green that are good for green eyes are the ones that are opposite to green on the colour wheel: burgandy, orangy-pinks.... that kinda thing
Also if you have any clothing that tends to bring out your eyes try the colour that clothing is.

I have green eyes and having colour like purple, prink, greens etc is a good thing. It makes your eyes pop and i wear black eyeliner. so I diagree with the first post. I love playing with my eyes and I have worked in cosmetics. I know what I am talking about. Applying to much make up to any eye colour can make you look bad, dont let being pale stop you from trying bright colours.
i have green eyes as well and red hair, so its also difficult for me to figure what colors to use. but i find that gold and copper work best. also with a light creme color for highlighting purposes. <3
hey no offense to the person that gave this response but i have green eyes, fair skin and blonde hair and there is NOTHING wrong with wearing bright colors and black eye liner... and secondly, purple is a complimentary color to green so it will naturally make your eye "pop." just experiment with all kinds of colors... DON'T limit yourself based on eye color or skin color!![]()
^^^ me also. i have a very feline makeup style and i have green eyes, i use loadsss of black eyeliner and i find purple very flattering as it makes me eyes pop. shades of green, brown, gronze and gold also seen to work well, and for a wide awake look shimmery silvery white seems to work well as a base colour, although i prefer to use a minky brown shade. my 'comfort zone' is using the mink first (one of rimmels mousse shadows), then a mocha brown on the outer half of my lid(a cheap mousse shadow) then a chocolate coloured power shadow for the lash line and contour effect. then i sweey black liquid eyeliner (usually quite thick) along the lash line and sweep it upwards in a feline way
hope that helps![]()
I've been a makeup artist for 16 years. I disagree with the first post. Shades of purple, orange, golds and reddish browns are all great choices to enhance and bring out green eyes. Choosing shades opposite from green on the color wheel will bring them out. (red, purple, orange) I recommend going to your local art supply store and purchasing one (color wheel). They are cheep and a great tool to use for choosing colors for any makeup application.
