    Default Perfect lips

You see the models showing off their solid, perfect looking glossy lips in pictures and lipstick commercials. and you automatically think that it's fake... but they did it somehow! So Can anybody tell me how? How can I get my lips to look flawless and glossy and perfect like those of a lipstick model on tv?

The 'problem' with these pictures is that they are sooo heavily photoshopped it's difficult to replicate it. To start with make sure your lips are well conditioned, no cracks or little bits of peeling skin. Then line your lips so the colour(s) you use won't bleed. In some pictures it seems the middle of the lips seem almost illuminated, I've been able to create that by applying a light (frosty) colour to brighten it up (although a lot of that depends on lighting I guess). There are probably some very good MUA's on the board here who have better tips, but HTH.

bebeflamand said it right. Most of those pictures are heavily photoshopped - that's why they look so perfect. :/ I also agree that your lips should be conditioned as much as possible.

Agreed, Condition and exxfoliate your lips so they are smooth and have moisture, to make them look plumper. You can also try using concealer on your lips before hand, and then add liner (if desired), and lipstick then add gloss. You can focus adding gloss to the centers of lips to make them look more plump and poutier! Hope it helps! Good luck!

To get your lips really soft and not all peeling take a tooth brush to your lips like your brushing you lips. This helps get all the peeling off and makes them smooth. Then put your lips stick and or gloss on. This will help make them look perfect lol

Yeah, they do photoshop those pictures a lot.
i was watching a Dr.Phill episode on a girl who wanted to be 'sexy' and she was only fourteen and dressing rather skimpy, and she was going on and on about how her looks matter most, and so they played a reel of a girl getting the 'model' treatment.
They changed her so much by the time they're done, they might as well have just photoshopped the whole thing. They even changed the height of the girls neck!

I don't believe there is a such thing as 'perfect', but yes, do condition and exfoliate your lips. Healthy looking lips are the definition of 'perfect' in my dictionary.

    Cool Re: Perfect lips

agreed aswell. for that picture, its pretty much all photoshoped. But something that replicates the action of brushing your lips is to get an exfoliating cream for your lips. i use it alot and it works like magic! Its also a lot less harsh on your lips and the cream makes your lips extra soft. hope this helps!

i kinda don't have this problem `cause i've already got full lips, but yeah condition, then apply lipstick with a lipbrush then apply lipgloss, if you thin lips you could try 'lip injection' by toofaced

Some of the models have already volumptious lips, i think, otherwise its a hell of alot of photoshoppin, and i mean alot as i use photoshop for photography. And im sure they pour the gloss on which just adds like 10 layers onto the size of their lips, haha.

A trick i use is adding a bit of white or colorless shimmer powder to my cupids bow which really just.. makes them look more pouty and fuller? but my lips are sort of full anyways.

    Well,
    My lips usually look great,
I put on some Vaseline, and then get a rough toothbrush and scrub your lips, to get them super soft.
Then I fill in my lips with a similar lighter coloured liner.
To get the best results, I apply my lipstick with a lip brush,
then I pat on a tiny amount of similar coloured eyeshadow, to ensure long lasting colour, then I swipe on a bit of clear coloured gloss :]

Yeh Vaseline is great, i apply it every night before bed so it soaks my lips up through the night, I also exfoliate the skin on my lips with a toothbrush but no to rough cause i dont want to break/cut the skin. I only wear Vaseline at night, because well i dont usually wear lipgloss/lipstick during the day unless for photography. It's too much upkeep and i dont find ti absolutely neccessary.

When your brushing your teeth brush your lips!! it exfoliates them and makes them smoother and more cherry/pink like then put your lipgloss on. Its good i do it every morning
