Question E.L.F. Cosmetics ...do u use them?

Does anyone here use make-up from a company called E.L.F.?? My friend directed me to them and everything they sell is super cheap. My fear is that they are like the crap make-up you get from those christmas packs they sell at walmart.

I really just wanna know if this stuff is any good. Is it worth it to buy it?

I was wondering the same thing! I guess not many do? My friend sent me an email about it she bought some. Truthfully it didn't look good on her, but at the same time she doesn't really now how to apply makeup very well. So I'm still wondering. Wish I could be some help!

I LOVE THEM!!! Their whole line is amazing, and VERY affordable. They just came out with this new studio line with awesome brushes too. The studio line has this awesome blusher/bronzer combo...

I def recommend it! It's uber cheap

well, however cheap it may be, it's not wonderful.
not super terrible, goes on pretty smoothly, but comes off easily.
especially when you don't want it to come off !

I used them on a course I took last year at school, the teacher must of got it real cheap and I think they are AMAZING! It worked really well, unfortunately I haven't been able to find the brand again .
But I do highly suggest E.L.F Products!

i think elf's lip products are nice, especially for the price. i wouldn't recommend their eye products though, it has no staying power.

If you put a primer on before, then the eyeshadow should stay on without creasing regardless, even a clear lip gloss does the trick, i also find that using e.l.f's cover stick helps too, and creates a good base so it doesnt go all over the place (:

I like e.l.f. products, they are really afordable. Everything is $1, including their brushes right now! Amazingg! Their studio line is quite impressive as well, obviously more expensive. I have e.l.f's Luxe quad, and I did a tutorial with it on Youtube, and when you use a primer on your eyes before you put on the shadows they stay on quite well. They are really pigmented for being so cheap. But they do tend to fade with time, like most shadows. I also really like their hypershine glosses, they are great. And a good thing about e.l.f. is that they always have promo codes so you pay even less. So it's even more afordable. So definately try some of their quads, but I do agree with one post above me, they don't have a very wide selection of shadows, hopefully they will soon though.

No I don't use them because I don't use makeup made in China. Remember the tainted milk, poison dog food, and now the bad sheet rock? Are we to trust makeup made on the other side of the planet? No way, not for me.

I use only brands made in the USA. I use Coonobabe. This company makes all of their products in USA, plus they ship 4 free anywhere in the world, any size order. They are that good.

I strongly recommend the liplust, glosses, and foundations. One word: Great!!!!

I've tried ELF products and haven't had any bad experiences. Only with the liquid liner, which definitely burns. lol

Anyway, Emily on youtube does some good ELF reviews. Might be a good idea to start there!

I just received some ELF products and my mini review would be as follows:
Eyeshadow - Excellent! With a primer, it stays on. The colours are amazing and I love them!
Eye brightning Eyeliner - Not very good. I ordered the plum one as it is a good colour to intesify green and blue eyes. The application is awful though. Not smooth at all!
Liquid Eyeliner / Eyeliner pen - Rubbish! They are both really week colours so instead of black (if you order the black one that is) it is barely even grey! The pen is a total waste of money!
Lip products - Amazing! I love them! Watch out for the tingle in the Lip Plumping Gloss though!
Brushes - Equal to MAC in quality! The bristles are sooooooo soft!!! They dont have much choice but what they do have...are amazing!
Blusher - Not the best but what do you expect for £1.50 (I think they are $1 in the US)
Fake Eyelashes - Not the best but if you work with them and have patience, they look great.

That is all I have tried for the moment. All in all, they are amazingly affordable and I would recommend the brushes over anything! Hope this helps!

hmm, i think i might take a look at E.L.F cosmetics, especially since its so cheap. ive heard good things about its lipgloss, studio brushes, eyeshadow, etc. before i even read this thread too bad about you guys experiencing poor performance in the eyeliners, but imo, you usually have to pay more for better quality eyeliners anyway, which is a good investment as opposed to buying a bunch of cheap, crappy, useless eyeliners *shrug*

E.l.f's eyeliners are not good at all. Neither are their earth & water mascara duo's, they are awful. I bought some and the wands broke off inside of the tubes.. some other people I know have had this same problem. So that's about the only complaint from me. But I still like their products.

awesome. i got some good advice here.

I did try the make up and i like some, i love some, and some was just blech.

mostly i liked the silver lining, drama, and pretty in pink.

pretty in pink could have been a little bit more dramatic but i guess its meant to be mild make up.

If you have sensitive skin I'd be very careful..some of their eye makeup and the makeup remover wipes burned my skin. :-/ I did buy the eye shadow brush, and the eye shadow blending brush. LOVE 'em!! Good and Cheap
