Mineral Makeup?

I keep seeing this mineral makeup ads all over the Internet, promising amazing coverage (often with photos that say "dramatized" in very small print below ). I have not tried it yet. Is it good? Is it really different from regular stuff?

dont be fooled by all the cheaper versions, ive tried them all! and the only one that works brilliantly is Bare Escentuals mineral foundation. fantastic coverage, you can have it as light or as heavy as you like, covers all marks etc that youd expect, well worth the money as it lasts forever, and their brushes dont scratch your face like the cheaper brands do

My Sister used SheerCover and really liked it and she has incredibly sensitive skin. Really good coverage too, she gets really red cheeks and you couldn't even tell.

I use the Bare Essentials Mineral make-up, and I LOVE it!!!!!!!! My skin has been sooo much helathier since I started wearing it, and it looks bery natural!!!!!! It is a little spendy, but it last a long time, and I would recommend it to anyone!!!

My personal favourite that covers my face evenly and makes it soft to touch
is Mac's mineral foundation. It's a little pricey but deffinatly the best and i've tried many.

Okay. So I've been doing a lot of research on mineral makeup lately, since just about every makeup I've used made me break out. I tried Organic Wear Foundation Powder, and it made me break out insanely. I didn't use makeup for 3 months solid, and my skin cleared up astronomically. But I started to miss the even skin tone makeup gave me.

I was so shocked. And then I looked at Organic Wear's foundation powder ingredients list- it had rice flour in it, which bacteria can feed off of.

So I looked into finding the true mineral makeup- no fillers or food products. Just the minerals. I found some excellent makeup on Etsy.com.
There's a shop called Lighthouse Minerals, and she only uses 3-4 ingredients in her makeup.
It's definitely the most amazing makeup I've used. It covers absolutely everything, and feels soft and light.
I've been using this for a couple weeks now, and not a makeup caused breakout in sight =)

And her eye shadows are great too, they are highly pigmented with no fillers so they stay true to their color and glide on easily.

Has anyone tried MIcabella mineral make up? I have there eye shadows and they are amazing ...i love them honestly even more so then Mac and believe me I'm a mac lover, I tried there mineral foundation and it gave an air brush effect, I was amazed, I left it on for a few hours and I wanted to get it but its soooo expensive. So i wanted other reviews on it so I can decided to get or not....

I have bare essentuals,and love it! it's the only foundation I've ever had that makes me excited to wear make up. I have lots of freckles and if so chose, can almost completely cover them up! The only problem I've had is that the insideof the lids have fallen out of my foundations and the mineral veil, and makes a mess when I use it, but still so much left!

Bare Essentials isnt good for people who have oily skin because it makes them look cakey.. i use prescriptives mineral makeup and i love it.. it covers my pimples and acne scars

I've used many different types of mineral makeup, and I found Sheer Cover and Loreal Bare Naturale mineral makeup to blend and cover the best. My skin always looks healthy, glowing and flawless. I absolutely LOVE mineral makeup!

i wear and sell the mk mineral makeup. that's actually why i started selling it. a friend convinced me to let her make me her guinea pig for a facial with her business and i tried it on then...i bought a ton of makeup that day(though i swore i was only going to buy an eyeshadow lol) and i won't ever wear another foundation. one thing i did notice, though is that i put on the concealer on only one eye to compare and decided that since i have dark circles under my eyes that it looked best to wear the concealer underneath the foundation. it looks fantastic and feels so light. i also use the timewise exfoliator and replinishing lotion and adore it! my skin hasn't broken out even once, even during my time of the month like it ALWAYS does. i've had great luck with it. it IS cheaper than bare essentials but it's the same ingredients and covers the same, in my opinion. plus, i have a cute little makeup bag that came with it when i bought the brush and foundation together. ck my site out. www.marykay.com/cryscockrell let me know if you want any samples or anything. i'm happy to help.

Has anyone used Purr minerals foundation?

yeah, im a makeup artist.. and i actually love purr minerals better. (for my skin type) the colors are more close to my skin tone. than the medium beige or light. but i love bare minerals tanning lotion. OMG its amazing.. like way better than a natural tan more like brazialian tan. i wanna go buy some more. oh and fyi the brushes suck. so not worth the money, buy the purr minerals brush. the flat one thats clear. cheaper too. only 35 for a purr. kit (blush, bronzer) and bare minerals 60 a kit.


try out urban decay eye shadow. bright like popcycles and they stay on forever!! expesh with the eye primer.

lets see...and cheaper brands do suck.

but smash box foundation is amazing.. its healthy.. check it out.
