Exclamation What's the best way to get that multi-coloured rave eyeshadow look?

I've tried so many times of using lots of the bright BarryM eyeshadows for when I go partying, but it never seems to blend that well. I've going to a rave in a couple of weeks so need to know asap what colours go best and what I'm doing wrong . . anyone??

use a good base, if you dont have one, lipsmackers or a thin cream eyeshadow will work.
make sure you have a blending brush, they're like... poufy ? i dont know if thats a word, but when you put your eyeshadows on, make sure you run the brush on that line horizontally .
you also should be using powder eyeshadows, cream ones leave harsh lines.

try NYX eyeshadows, they're so bright and pigmented! they're really comparable to MAC eyeshadows, they blend really well too. nyxcosmetics.com and cherryculture.com have NYX stuff for 50% off May1 until May 15, or find it at Ulta or drugstores.
i personally love bright purples, pinks and turquoises for fun going-out looks, but just go with whatever rainbow rave colors you like. but remember to use an eye primer or base. NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk makes bright colors pop

it blends so well and the colours are really bold and bright!
it helps if u use a nice light creamy base too make it stick more but yeah end result is good

    good luck xx

tbh, i'd go with the Claire's pallette like what Amy said above. That way you can spend some time mixing colours on spare times, and you won't have to worry about wasting eyeshadow that might have been expensive. I suggest just fooling around with different colours, and get a relatively medium sized fluff brush (the really soft ones that are rounded), and just go in circular motions when blending upwards.

i have a 22 color palette set from sephora.com that was $22.00. It has the entire rainbow and the colors blend well together.

just try different shades that u think compliment each other, blend, blend, blend! make sure u use a highlighting color under your brows & in the corners of your eyes, I consider that a must! also, pick one color for your lid & one for your socket bone(actual term slipped my mind). No more than 3 colors, looks tacky if u do that. try an angled brush too for a liner effect.

what people consider your upper lid and browbone is technically part of the orbital bone, the area where your bone and eyeball sorta meet is where most ppl blend eyeshadow into the "crease"
haha just had to throw that in there, human anatomy and physiology is fascinating to me, im a kinesiology major lol

Hey I'm a model and a raver lol and from personal expierence I've found Make Up Forever Brand is a GREAT brand for that kind of look and stays on forever and you can use the large eyeshadows for blush or whatever and they show up super bright and stay on a really long time. Also think of your eyes like a picture except don't be afraid to go outside what you normally would like to your temples and cheeks.

Kryolan have the coolest aqua colour set, they are fluro colours activated by water. they can be difficult to use if you wet them too much but just have a play and experiment till you get the look you want!

Start by using a concealer for a base..smooth it over the eyelid so that it will grab pigment...use highly pimented shades..cheaper route would be using
Milani cosmetics, Loreal Hip, or the new cover girl quads with the bright intense colors. If you are a department store junkie..try MAC, LANCOME, or Prescriptives. These brands have intense matte and mettalic shades that look Rockin. I also found a true Red at Hot Topic for 5.99 called the Bloody Mary line, the neon colors..not so much, but the red is amazing. You can also use loose shadows mixed with a non oily makeup liquid remover and it will make a color extremely intense and long lasting..or take some remover to a bruch and stir it into a powder shadow..it will do the same thing..check out my avatar and my pics...i used Lancome shades..personal style, fashion forward, best dressed and new blk

mac eyeshadows work really really well for me. if you use a primer, itd make the application of your makeup stay on wayy longer and makes blending really easy. i suggest using urban decays eye shadow potion or smashbox primer. they're a must!!!

try a eyeshadow palette with different shades in the same color family first and then experiment with other palettes.
