Making foundation look good all night

Hi everyone, i've just started using foundation and i went to a make-up artist to make sure i got the correct one for my skin. However, by the end of the night my forehead and nose has gone all oily but my cheeks and chin have stayed fine. Any ideas how i can stop this. Thanks. H.

this may sound a bit weird lol,
but spray a bit of hairspray over your face not to close quite a distance i do it and all my makeup stays on

This happens to most people.
It certainly happens to me, so my advice to you is to wear a powder thats a shade lighter than your skin, it will get rid of that excess oil and make you look fresh again.
If you need to re apply it during the night, the best things to get are things called 'blotting tissues'
They are mini peices of paper that have powder on them, and all you have to do is lightly blot them on to the oilier spots and your ready to go!
they are also small and can fit into your bag or purse very easily.

Maybelline make a powder especially for this - it's an anti shine powder and it works wonders! I apply it with a brush when i start to get a bit oily and it's gone just like that!

Also, ModelCo make a spray which is apparently really good too - quite pricey but works well

u could use a mattifing moistueiser to keep the shine and the excess oil at bay! also smashbox make a primer specially for oily skin u shud give that a go!x

one thing that really does work for your skin to keep the make-up last.....you may not think it but...

hairspray!
if you hold a can of hair spray about 15cm from your face and spray all over with your ees closed,it sticks to your skin as like a barrier so that your make up cannot come off!

i have done it plenty of times when i have been going out and i looked the same from when i did my make-up till the night ended!

You can try a matte primer that helps reduce oil, also use a good translucent powder (I use make up forever HD powder) this will help absorb excess oil. I get very oily in my t-zone as the day progresses and doing this seems to help my make up last longer. I've also started using "Model In A Bottle", this is similar to the hairspray like everyone is saying. I spray it on right after I apply my foundation, then I do my eyeshadow, blush and a tiny bit of bronzer and give my face another spritz before applying my finising powder.

Use a waterproof and sweat proof , waterbase foundation. I use SeneGence. It stays put and the heat and humidity don't affect it!

these are all really good comments, i'd also suggest for you to only put a little bit of foundation on (and concealer if you use it), so that's it's natural and if the worst comes to the worst, people won't be able to tell

what i do is have a powder foundation me on a night out, apply this this quickly on your face with a large brush maybe twice that night and your face should'nt get oily and your makeup should stay on. x
