at home hair dyeing kits for dark hair?
Yeah, so I haven't dyed my hair for awhile, and I have very dark, Asian hair, as I can see like 2-3 inches of black roots in the mirror haha.
What do you gals think are the best hair coloring kits for dark haired girls wanting to go a bit lighter? Drugstore kits, btw, I'm too cheap and lazy to go to the salon lol.

what ever you do, don't use box coloring. Most people think since its cheap its not as harsh but there wrong it is so bad for your hair. My advice is if you have a beautly supply store like a salleys, i would go there you can buy the color you want and develper its safer on the hair.

hm been beauty junkying and dyeing my hair for years, i never thought of going to sally's and just getting my own color and developer lol. i think i might try this, what a solid idea haha

10 volume = deposit only to up to 1 level of lift
20 volume = up to 2 levels of lift
30 volume = up to 3 levels of lift
40 volume = up to 4 levels of lift
double 40 volume = high lift only (trust me don't try it a corrective color is more expensive than and all over color from you stylist/colorist)
try not to use bleach again save it for a pro, there are rules with how to use the peroxide strengths so you don't burn someone.
seeing that you're asian.... you're probably a level 1 to maybe a level 2... when going to get your color try not to past a 4 (5 max) for best results, don't go by the pretty name it may come with.

I usually go to Sallys to lighten my hair. Not sure how light you're willing to go, but Kaleidacolor Bleach works really well and lets you choose if you want neatral, cool, or warm results. If you just wanna run to walmart, Revlon Frost and Glow for dark hair is definitely the best thing they have in stock. I always get compliments when I use it.
